Fermcap is an anti-foaming agent that is may be used during both the boil and fermentation to reduce foam and/or avoid excessive blow-off. Fermcap-S is an insoluable compound that settles out when the beer is racked off so it will not impact your finished beers flavor, appearance, or head retention. Use 2-3 drops per gallon during your boil to reduce foaming or use 2 drops per gallon during your fermentation to eliminate blow-off. Comes in a convenient eyedropper bottle. Refrigerate until ready to use.
