German Polaris was bred as a dual purpose hop with an incredibly high Alpha Acidity and a very high essential oil content (4-5 ml/100g) that lead to very bold tastes and distinctive flavors. . A great option to bitter Imperial Style beers it can also be used as a late addition hop to contribute bold floral and fruit notes with a slight hint of mint as well. Released in 2012 by the Hop Research Institute in Hull Germany.
