Mesquite Smoked Malt will add a mellow mesquite smoke flavor to your beer without the typical harshness associated with mesquite. Contributes a pronounced smoked flavor and aroma with an upfront mesquite quality that is slightly sweet but less so than Cherry Wood Smoked Malt (WG029). Great for use in Scottish Ales, Smoked Beers, Porters, and Rauch Bocks. Enzyme-active malt however we do not recommend using it for more than 60% of the grist.|
5-10%: Noticeable smoke in lighter styles such as Scottish Ales and Oktoberfests
10-20%: Pronounced Smoke in lighter styles such as Scottish Ales and Oktoberfests
30-60%: Noticeable to pronounced smoke character in darker styles such as Stouts and Porters.
